Psychological Methods: Statistical Procedures (PSYC 011)
A lower-divison undergraduate course which introduces students to statistics and data analysis in psychological research using the CourseKata framework.
Introductory Psychology (PSYC 001)
A lower-division undergraduate introduction to psychology as an experimental science. Emphasizes topics in cognitive (including learning, memory, sensation, perception), comparative, and physiological psychology.
Relevant Graduate-Level Coursework
A deep dive into correlation and regression, and their applications within psychological research. The second course in a three-course quantitative sequence.
Latent Variable Analysis (Structural Equation Modeling)
An overview of structural equation modeling, and its applications within psychological research. The third in a three-course quantitative sequence, chosen from a few options (e.g., Qualitative Methods, Data Analytic Methods 3 [not offered until the subsequent year]).
Theories in Developmental Psychology
The first in a series of three core courses for developmental psychology PhD students. This course provided a thorough overview of foundational and emerging theories of developmental psychology.
The second of a three-course core series for developmental psychology PhD students. This course provided a seminar-style examination of the theories and evidence regarding how human social behaviors, relationships, and emotional patterns form and evolve across the lifespan.
This course was the final of three core classes for developmental psychology doctoral students in the program. This course detailed cognitive development throughout the lifespan, highlighting major theoretical frameworks in cognitive development research (e.g., Nativism, Theory theory).
